Padel Camps
The key pillars of the Rafa Nadal Academy methodology are control, naturalness, and helping each player feel comfortable with their own game. In addition, training sessions focus on high intensity, a high volume of repetitions with proper feedback, and a “learning by doing” approach.
Each week of training is divided into two parts: four days of 1.5-hour training sessions (Monday to Thursday) and a 1.5-hour Point Play session on Friday.
Sessions key points
During the first session, the focus is on neutral shots in the defensive zone, working on technical aspects and positioning. The main objective is to understand body position and the contact point with the ball.
During the second session, the focus is on neutral shots in the offensive zone, working on technical aspects of volleys and bandejas. The main idea is to understand the positioning on the court and the biomechanics of the shots.
During the third session, the focus is on different variations in the defensive zone, working on identifying how to move from defense to offense and learning different ways to steal time. The main objective is to understand the different options a player can use in real situations.
During the fourth session, the focus is on different variations in the offensive zone, working on different overhead shots and recognizing when it is possible to be aggressive from defense. The main idea is to understand that, to win, the player must be at the net.
